Croft House

The Croft House is the original building at Leob Croft. The oldest part is constructed of stone, with a timber extension and a large conservatory on the south side.
Downstairs is a large kitchen/dining room with a coal/wood rayburn cooker (plus electric cooker). There is also a sitting room with wood-burning stove leading into the conservatory. There is a single bedroom downstairs.
Upstairs is a twin room, with balcony and beautiful views, and a double room. These rooms are built into the loft and so have low ceilings, particularly the double room. For this reason the double bed is on a low platform on the floor.
The Croft House is simply furnished with unpolished wooden floors and wood panelling on many of the walls. The house is heated by electric storage heaters, the wood-burning stove in the lounge and the rayburn in the kitchen. It was, until recently, a family home and has an informal, relaxed feel. There are lots of books and some other personal possessions around still, including a piano.
